KVR Preservation Letter to Government in response to the deactivation announcement
On behalf of our membership and all recreation users of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, the Timberline Cruisers Executive have sent a letter to various government Ministries and agencies responding to the surprise announcement of the Province to deactivate the Kettle Valley Rail Trail in Princeton, Coalmont, Tulameen and thru to Merritt. There was absolutely NO warning to local government or organization in our communities regarding this closure. This letter is an ask to bring a consultation process to our communities to discuss and allocate the $20 million set aside for deactivation to be utilized positively to maintain and preserve current KVR infrastructure.
